Engage, Inform, Inspire

Interesting, topical, fun and relevant. The children love it. A wonderful resource to use in the classroom.

The Primary Planet is a ‘hands-on’ magazine suitable for 8-12-year olds. I have been using it with a selection of classes for the last few years and it has become an extremely valuable resource. The children in my class eagerly await its arrival each month and on occasion, I have to prise it from children during lessons as they enthusiastically read it from cover to cover! Each issue comes with a teacher planning guide and online resources and handouts, helping to inform planning and links content to those important strands and strand units and curriculum objectives .The magazine brings reading to life for children as they are reading for a purpose and enjoying it. It caters for a wide range of interest levels. On top of all that, the magazine is fantastic value for money for such a valuable resource.

Our fifth and sixth class pupils and teachers have been using The Primary Planet for the last four years. Quite simply, it is brilliant, and our students and teachers love it. It is tailored exactly to what senior Primary pupils will buy into, as its glossy and colourful, deals with current issues and has lots of relevant information about entertainment, sport and celebrities. From a teacher’s point of view, there is a lot of curriculum content which is presented in a simple child friendly yet educational way. Finally, the participation in the competitions and the chance to see their work published really excites our pupils and ensures a great effort from them. Our school is very happy to recommend The Primary Planet as an excellent resource in our senior classes.

We have been using The Primary Planet for the last two years and find it excellent. Literacy, numeracy, Gaeilge, science, history, geography, current affairs, sport and entertainment are all covered at a level that is child friendly. Most importantly the children love when they arrive. I highly recommend The Primary Planet. You and your children won’t be disappointed.

We have been getting The Primary Planet newspaper in our school for four years now. The children in my multi-grade class of 4th, 5th and 6th absolutely love the arrival of The Primary Planet every month. There is something in it to interest everyone … including the teacher! We have used it for silent reading, reading aloud, reading at home and as supplementary material for our curriculum work.

We have been getting the Primary Planet here in Moyne NS for the past few years. It is hugely popular with teachers, pupils and parents alike. It is incredibly good value and is a very high-quality publication. The children really look forward to the arrival of the magazines each month and it’s always full of interesting and very topical articles. Parents have often commented that they find it equally interesting and informative. It literally covers every topic from sport, movies, music, politics, farming, Gaeilge, fashion, book and movie reviews etc. It is really well written and has encouraged even the most reluctant readers in our school to read on a regular basis.

Is breá liom an suíomh seo idir leabhar i mBéarla agus i nGaeilge. Áis íontach do mo phaiste.
